Q Street Cottage Rental Rules, Procedures and Checklist

WELCOME! We hope you enjoy your stay. The Q Street Cottage is privately owned and furnished, so please treat it as if it is your own home. To help ensure your visit is pleasurable and memorable, please take a few moments to read the following set of operating rules and policies. Please feel free to call us with any questions not covered in this letter.
A. Rules.
1. Paper products will not be replenished. We provide at least two rolls of toilet paper for the bathroom and two rolls of paper towels for the kitchen. We provide linens and towels for six(6) adults.
2. Please check the rental property upon arrival. Report any discrepancy or problem with A/C, TV, etc. to the us as soon as practical. Refunds or discounts will NOT be made for maintenance related problems. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the problem as soon as possible.
3. DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING from the rental property. The rental property is carefully inspected upon your departure with an itemized list. ANYTHING missing from rental property will be billed directly to you; (this includes linens, flatware, glasses, décor, etc.)
4. Firearms of any type are not permitted in the rental property.
5. Disorderly or offensive conduct, or conduct annoying or disturbing to other residents/neighbors will NOT be tolerated. NO HOUSE PARTIES. UNDERAGE DRINKING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED; ANY VIOLATIONS WILL CAUSE IMMEDIATE EVICTION/REMOVAL FOR ALL; NO REFUNDS.
6. The City of Galveston has a curfew law. We kindly ask that your younger guests try to follow these guidelines. Guests 16 and under; should be indoors by 10:00 pm, guests ages 16 & 17; should be indoors by midnight.
7. Any seafood or meat must be properly wrapped when placed in refrigerator.
8. Do not use our towels at the beach. If you do, an excessive cleaning fee of $25 will apply. Decks and Porches are to be kept clean and neat. Doorways are to be kept clear and unblocked. No towels, bathing suites, clothing, or any other item may be draped from the front or side porches.
9. Indoor furniture is not allowed to be used or placed on the decks or porches.
10. Please try to brush off all sand from your clothes and shoes prior to entering the rental property.
11. Charcoal BBQ’s may be only be used in areas AWAY from decks, porches and structures.
12. ADDITIONAL FEES:
a. Smoking Fee: A $100 fee will be assessed if any smoking is detected inside the rental property. Smoking is allowed ONLY on the decks or porches.
b. Lock-out/Lost Key Fee: A $20.00 fee is applicable to any lost keys/lock-outs.
c. Trash Fee: A addtional fee of $50.00 will be charged to your rental, if we must remove the trash from the rental property or food items from the refrigerator. Please remove all trash and food items to avoid this additional charge! ALL TRASH MUST BE PLACED IN THE CITY OF GALVESTON TRASH RECEPTACLE RECEPTACLE THAT IS PROVIDED. Do not leave trash on decks or porches. All trash must be bagged in plastic with secure trash ties. Lids must be securely closed on trash receptacles.
d. Replacement and Damage Fees. We will charge replacement costs for ANY towels or linens that are stained or ruined. Bath towels should not be used to clean up any spills or to clean home. Any damage charges for damage to furnishings, appliances, plumbing, etc., due to the negligence of you or your guests will be billed to Renter.
We want each Renter and guests to have a great time. These rules help ensure that everyone's visit is a pleasurable and memorable one. Enjoy your stay!
B. CHECK-IN AND CHECK OUT PROCEDURES.
1. CHECK-IN.
a. If other arrangements have not been made and confirmed in a confirmation email sent to you by Owner, we will expect you to check-in between 3 pm and 5 pm on the afternoon before your first night. Please go to 1721 Broadway to sign registration items, pay any remaining amounts due and collect keys and codes.
b. No keys or codes will be issued to You unless all registration items are completed and signed and all remaining amounts due are paid. We will also require a copy of your driver’s license or passport at check-in.
c. We normally provide you with brochures, maps and a welcome basket at check-in.
d. Please call us at the numbers provided if you will be late or early or other arrival issues occur.
2. CHECK-OUT.
a. Make sure ALL trash is out of the rental property and in the trash receptacles.
b. Rinse, load and start dishwasher.
c. Place all towels in bathroom. Do NOT strip the bed linens.
d. Put all furniture back to original positions.
e. Collect all of your belongings. Should an item be left behind, call us immediately.
f. Make sure all windows and doors are locked.
g. Make sure the grill is emptied of ashes and clean grill.
h. Make sure the thermostat is raised to 80 degrees.
i. Unless other arrangements are made, drop the keys off at 1721 Broadway.
C. CHECKLIST OF SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:
Although we supply some essentials, please consider bringing the following items:
1. Paper and Kitchen Products - extra toilet paper, extra paper towels, plastic wrap, foil and trash bags.
2. Cleaning Supplies - dishwasher soap, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent.
3. Non-perishable Food Items – coffee creamer, salt and pepper, sugar, spices and other condiments.
4. Personal Hygiene Supplies - soap, shampoo and tooth paste,
5. For the Beach - cooler, hats, beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels, sun block, aloe vera lotion, mosquito repellent, beach toys for the kids and water bottles.
6. Other – batteries, camera and fishing equipment.
